A Room With A View

In real estate, the saying goes, it's all about location, location, location. Well if that's the case, this birdhouse has hit the jackpot. It's got a great view of the tallest and most majestic flower in my garden: the foxtail lily. And it's just about the cutest birdhouse I've ever seen. Who wouldn't want to live here?

I am so jealous. I tried to grow a foxtail lily this year and it just didn't take. Yours is beautiful.

Nice lily! Your birdhouse has a lot of character. ;-)

Hi Jeremy. The foxtail lily is not easy to grow. I planted it years and years ago. It never bloomed. Then last summer, it just went nuts. Last year, I had two towers of flowers. This year I've got only the one. The plant is definitely finicky but well worth the trouble and frustration.
Cheers and thanks for stopping by.

Hi Connie. This is my first bird house. I hope to get many, many more. As I said to Jeremy, the foxtail lily is a tough one to grow. But it's a real showstopper when it's finally in bloom.
