After the first real winter we have had in about four years, the sight of the first crocus is more welcome than ever. The tradition continues: I have no idea what variety this is.
We're really out of practice for winter, especially after last year. I'm finding the spring very slow in arriving. But it's on its way, as your crocus proves. Only snowdrops at my place still, but I'm very happy to have them. Cheers!
At sunset this is one of the most peaceful places in the world. While the plant selections have changed a lot over the years, the serene atmosphere is always the same.

at a guess, id say that was a Purple Crocus. There comes a time when its just enough to point and smile and say, "flower".
